Just to clarify since "patches" applies to several suggestions made on
this list... I would recommend people just store their debian/ directory
(using whatever method to store patches therein) in svn and the
upstream tarball. Importing and maintaining the entire upstream source
tree + diff.gz can get fairly messy.
