Bug#444237: snowballz: crashes with X error

When attempting to run SnowballZ, I get:

I realise this is probably an OpenGL error, but I don't know what
further information you may need in order to debug this. I'm using
i810 driver in X, and I'm  surprised I'm having X problems with the
Intel driver. This sort of thing usually only happens with the nvidia
blob. ;-)
