Similarity? They're nearly exactly the same in OpenArena and
Darkstalkers.  That's not just a vague monster design...

Yes, I believe that was my original point.  Just doing a google search
for "space marine" shows tons of designs people have come up with that
do not look like Doom's protaganist.

This is worth looking into, however the news item states new materials
in 0.8.0 were copyright-violating, and the resources I was mentioning
are pre-0.7.7
