MESS homework

Hey!
So I bit the bullet and had a look at mess. I've committed a big pile of
changes to the packaging, and have pushed the results to our repo.
There are unfinished things, as I need to leave right away, but you'll
find a few FIXME signs in the debian dir. If anyone wants to have a look,
please go ahead!
Basically, I went ahead with the symlink idea, but I'll admit I haven't
tested this at all. :D
If it works, it appears to be OK-ish to me: it's not a big mess and it's
the easiest way we can achieve this using the dpkg feature, which is
really cool for us.
I'm in the process of packaging mess-desktop-entries, which can make MESS
a lot easier to use if you use a Desktop environment like GNOME or KDE.
Anyone who knows MESS better than me, please have a look and tell me where
I fucked up. I have a build running right now.
Missing:
- debian/copyright, of course.
- debian/mess.install: I invented all of this
- debian/mame-tools.install: need to add the mess tools (I think it's the
best option, the tools are rare enough that we can stick them in the
same package)
Please go ahead and test this. When I come back I'll know if my effort
worked or not. :P
