wonderful ! I was always uneasy which this under-the-hood magic.

this is probably the way to go but has implications:

first we should create a new git repo on alioth (easy) for the new
source package

then we should decide if we want to hard depends mame version 0.xxx with
mame-extra version 0.xxx.
My two cents here would say *no* since it prevents us to have the latest
and greatest mame availaible in sid as soon as possible.
So mame should only suggests mame-extra, with no version dependancy (as
it is now)

OK don't forget to put a descriptive header in the patch.

Don't forget to git rebase to get the last changes Jordi and me
commited, after that feel free to push your work !
