(Taking this off the bug, it's way off topic)

Even if it's that unbalanced, 5% makes you a copyright holder :-)

In principle I should have listed myself in the copyright file back in
2009, for the initial quake3 implementation.

I'm currently using GPL-2+ for the Python code (which is new, with no
copyright holders except me and perhaps you AFAICS) because code that is
GPL-2 (only) or GPL-3 (only) gets quite annoying in my day job, and I
didn't see any reason not to be a little more permissive: in the
unlikely event that someone wants to re-use it elsewhere, GPL-2 without
the + is more likely to be annoying than positive. "Be the change you
want to see" and all that.

The project as a whole is GPL-2 (only) because Jon has not given
permission otherwise. I'm fine with that; I don't really see anyone
wanting to reuse the shell scripts etc. elsewhere.

I'm tempted to put some really permissive license on the YAML files,
because there's probably very little in there that's even copyrightable
(the help text? the structure of the file?) - they're mostly "just
stating facts". Would you be OK with something like this?

Redistribution and use in source and compiled forms, with or without
modification, are permitted under any circumstances. No warranty.

(That's the basewiki license from ikiwiki.)

Done, thanks!
