Note, I am not talking about correct or incorrect desktop file content.
My focus is the user experience with many games installed on a Debian
machine.

I simply believe the user experience while browsing the menus is better
if similar games are grouped together in submenus like it is done i KDE
when many games are installed.  I do not believe the current desktop
file is wrong, just that it could be made better. :)

Aha.  Did not know this.  Perhaps a lintian check should be made to
suggest its removal? :)

I agree.  But in KDE, at least when I wrote the bug report, there were
no submenu for ActionGame, only for ArcadeGame.  The end result is that
those visiting the Games->Arcade menu fail to find marsshooter, which I
believe is doing the users a disservice. :)

Oh.  I wonder how users find such flat menu structure.  Would be
interesting with a usability study. :)

I believe it would improve the gamers experience in Debian a bit.
