It’s not needed:
$ cabextract -F Disk1/data1.cab h3demo.exe
Extracting cabinet: h3demo.exe
  extracting Disk1/data1.cab
All done, no errors.
Unfortunately the next step fails:
$ unshield x Disk1/data1.cab
Failed to open Disk1/data1.cab as an InstallShield Cabinet File
(with the version of unshield currently in stable.)
