Hi Stephen,
After I changed audio to SDL the frame rate and sound quality have improved
considerably, yet the application still crashes when it isn't closed by the
File -> Exit menu.

The output of the program:
0 joystick(s) found:
OpenGL: 4.5 (Core Profile) Mesa 17.3.3
Database: 2901 items imported from internal DB
Fds: BIOS ROM ok
Ines: 512k PRG-ROM set
Ines: horizontal mirroring set
Ines: NTSC set
Ines: mapper 4 set
Board: NES-TGROM
Board: 512k PRG-ROM
Board: 8k V-RAM
Board: MMC rev. C
Region: NTSC
Audio: SDL - 48000Hz 16-bit, 1 channel(s)
Port 1: Standard Pad
Port 2: Standard Pad
