For as much as I would like to continue building the packages myself if we can have some prebuilt already it would help massively. I am constrained by time as I have a full time job I have to do too...



Also something I did not understand so far: why cannot the packages be built against an existing released Debian version? Say 8?



The reason is that this way I can install them on a production-copy like for like environment where I have everything else running already and it would be very easy to make sure I test kopano properly...

What a about providing prebuilt packages on alioth for core and
webapp. I think Matthias set up an upload queue during the DGM
already. This would save people from too much hazzles. We can drop the
archive once ftp-masters accepted the packages into unstable.
