Hello Simon,

you are welcome!

I guess happily upstream is well experienced not only about Debian
packaging so we can put our energy in some effective things.
The kopanocore packages are not less and sometimes will need some
solving problems on corner edges. So just follow the list. Next week
Guido and myself will attend The Debian DebCamp and DebConf in Montreal
we will for sure work also on kopanocore and kopano-webapp. But we are
6h behind Europe. :-)

Yeah, after the release of Stretch we can no point the effort on
bringing the recent kopanocore version into unstable and resolving left
over issues that will be seen in interaction with other packages. We
already have seen some small trouble due the old package libmapi-dev in
Jessie. I think we probably will see some such things in the future.

No, not yet. As the harding issues are minor things due there severity
in lintian we haven't spend much time on that. If we find more time for
this we can work on this for sure.

The former is exactly what the patch from Guido is doing, the other part
needs to be discussed internally at Kopano. For sure there was some
reason to build up the source as it was done. If you want to jump into
the hardening thing feel free to start on that.

Maybe you have seen the dedicated wiki page for Kopano related packaging?

https://wiki.debian.org/Groupware/Kopano

This wiki page isn't completely up to date and need some updates. But
it's our main place to collect ToDo's and the current state.

There are some other additional upstream packages from Kopano that could
be also packages for Debian.
One main thing is the reintroducing of the Z-Push suite. Roel van Meer
has starting something here for Jessie and Stretch basically. This needs
some reviewing and preparations for unstable (PHP7 vs PHP5 e.g.)

In the past Marco Costantino has written about a successful setup of
webmeetings with spreedwebrtc. Some RTC for Kopano in Debian would be a
great thing, so if you can dig into that that would really appreciated!

Please grab for information about that the archive of the ml.

Once a year we try to meet us in spring for a Debian groupware meeting
typically in the Linuxhotel in Essen. That's a great possibility to
interact face 2 face and speed up working on various problems. Jelle and
Suyi has already attended in the past!

Happy hacking!
