Well unfortunately that particular bug was a hard one and required quite some changes. So it is not done with just a few commits thus there is no direct ticket in the commits. In the meanwhile we are at 8.7.5 which contains lots of additional fixes. 

Best would be to just update the packaging to 8.7.5. I understand that this might not be possible.

I bring it up in our next dev meeting and see what we can do to provide a minimal set of patches on top of 8.7.0 fixing only the caching issue you mentioned.

I will follow up on this next week.
