I see no problems in doing this.

It's something with version 6.3.7-1 of ImageMagick. With the latest
one (6.3.7-4, still beta), I don't see it.
(The test was: inside a chroot, extract, "./configure; make; make
install" and compare what they were installing).
It seems that waiting for 6.3.7-4 will help us a little, right? :-)
