Incidentially, an imagemagick-doc package seems to have existed in the
past. At least, imagemagick still carries a Conflict on it. I don't know
why it was abandoned and folded back into imagemagick, though. Anyway,
/usr/share/doc/imagemagick/www is about 2.5MB in size, which seems to be
enough to warrant a split, but it's not that pressing to do it now, I
think. In the future, I'd really like to create a separate package with
debug packages similar to the one in graphicsmagick, which brings along
another trip via NEW, so we could just as well defer the -doc split
until then.

The main open issue for an upload to experimental is the name of the
-dev packages (keep libmagick9-dev or switch to libmagick-dev?). Also,
foo-private.h headers should not be included in the -dev packages. And
the build scripts link way too many libraries with most binaries, which
makes us lose all the benefits from a modular build. The latter two are
less severe, but should be address before an upload to unstable.

Regards,

Daniel.
