I haven't ever noticed that. So this might be a different bug.

After such a "crash", do all the windows appear on the same workspace, 
or only one or a few change?

OK, it's in any case a good idea to upgrade to the last version. If we 
can reproduce the bug afterwards, this report should probably be 
forwarded upsteam.
