A new version of gdesklets has been released (0.30) and looks great : lots of
fixes, and lots of new features.  If you could package it, that'd be great!

« It's been months since the last release of gDesklets, the desktop applet
framework for GNOME... but finally version 0.30 is ready and full of new
features!

Users will be happy about the new graphical gDesklets shell which makes it
easy to install and manage desktop applets.

For developers, version 0.30 introduces fancy stuff like powerful inline
scripting and controls, a more flexible successor of sensors.
Complete resolution independency and scalability can be achieved by exploiting
the versatile geometry engine with unit based coordinates, such as
centimetres, inches, points, or even percentual values.

Apart from that, we have greatly improved performance, filled all known memory
leaks, and squashed tons of bugs.  »
