Package: gnome-network
Version: 1.99.5-2
Severity: important
When I try to use gnome-remote-desktop to connect to a VNC server all I
get when I click on "Connect" is the message "on_btnConnect1_clicked" on
the tty. The application than exits.
When I click on the "Profile Launcher" drop down box I get:
<snip>
(gnome-remote-desktop:8968): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkmenu.c: line 1235
(gtk_menu_popup): assertion `GTK_IS_MENU (menu)' failed
(gnome-remote-desktop:8968): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkmenu.c: line 1470
(gtk_menu_get_active): assertion `GTK_IS_MENU (menu)' failed
</snip>
And nothing else happens.
When I click on "More" and try to save a profile with "Save As" I get
"free(): invalid pointer 0x407363c0".
When I click on "Help" I get an about box.
It is funny that the protocol selection drop down box is grayed out (at
least for RDP, which is the default). At best this is misleading.
Perhaps the options that are unavailable should be removed from the drop
down completely?
Are you sure that this software is ready to be part of Debian? It looks
very pre-alpha to me.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the effort in reporting bugs on gnome-network. For the time
being, however, active development on gnome-network has ceased and the
upstream team has now decided to continue releasing separate modules
instead of a single suite, therefore I made the decision to have
gnome-network removed from Debian.
Currently, the only item of the suite to have been released and packaged
for unstable is gnome-nettool. The functionality provided by the
gnome-remote-desktop application can still be found in its predecessor:
tsclient.
Yours sincerely,
Andrew "Netsnipe" Lau
