Bug#285952: unresponsive logout option

Hi,

I have a similar problem on my systems.
These are older Installations, but the logout-butten doesn't respond for
some minutes after login and sometimes even longer (or again later, like
there is some process preventing the logout-window from appearing).
ctrl+alt+backspace works in my case.
other symtoms are equal to the case above.

This happens since some early version of gnome 2 until at least 2.6
my systems are:
Apple Powerbook G4 (currently running kernel 2.6.8-powerpc)
i386 (AMD Duron-system) (currently running kernel 2.6.8-1-k7)

I run debian-testing on both machines with regular updates.
