Have you read the severity descriptions ?

grave
makes the package in question unusable or mostly so, or causes data
loss, or introduces a security hole allowing access to the accounts
of users who use the package.

Do you really think that the package is unusable ?

I'd say that the right severity is :

important
a bug which has a major effect on the usability of a package,
without rendering it completely unusable to everyone.

After crashes metacity restart in a few second, so it's annoying but
doesn't make the package unusable imho, so I'm changing the
severity. Let me know if you agree.
