Package: gnome-applets
Version: 2.6.1-6
Severity: important
mixer-applet says that there isn't no element or mixer device (not sure
of the translaton), in fact there is no element in audio channels (see
Preferences...).
/dev/mixer linked in /dev/mixer0 or /dev/amixer0 gave the same
results.
I've got alsa drivers running, and esd and gnome-alsamixer works fine...
also works the keybindings on my multimedia keyboard.

You, Snark, already know why 2.6.1 was build without gstreamer :
gstreamer pkg was into problems and not yet ready to enter testing, so
this was a preliminary applets pkg.
2.6.2 is build with gstreamer again, so closing this bug.
