I seemed to experience the same difficulties that the original poster of
this bug had - the frontend would quit without warning when hitting
"Connect" and same message to the console ("on_btnConnect1_clicked").
After dropping the "More" button and trying again, the frontend informed
me that it could not find rdesktop in my path.  It appears rdesktop
should be a required package for gnome-network.
