Bug#251127: capplets <=> xlibs

hello,

I think I've found the problem. It's not a capplet bug but an xlibs. You
cannot switch between keyboard layouts with the newest xlibs packages
and that cause the gnome-settings-daemon problem. so please reassing to
xlibs.

just try to start a simple xsession with an xterm and try to switch to
the us layout (setxkbmap us) and it will not work.

so I had downgraded the package xlibs and the error disappeared.
