hehe, somewhat i sensed that you'd answer that, so here's the long and
technically more precise answer:

- GnomeMeeting doesn't do half-duplex, but only full-duplex
- I1810 OSS doesn't do full-duplex, however I810 and ALSA is just
working like a charm.
- all decent VoIP are full-duplex. As a new product PTT and POC
(Push-To-Talk-over-Celluar) are just being rolled out into the field or
exist. Both of which aren't used for any decent VoIP technology i know.

So the point was that neither GM nor any of the other openh323 linux
clients will get you any further with i810/oss... Ok now? ;)

Use ALSA, it'll work. That also the reason why we don't ship OSS by
default. There's only 1 device that does work with OSS and full-duplex -
SB!Live. All other OSS drivers have minor or major problems with
full-duplex and only cause a large backscatter of "virtual" bugs.
