Package: gnome-applets
Version: 2.6.1-6
Severity: important

The gnome keyboard layout switcher applet (gkb) uses a incorrect
"dvorak" keyboard layout, at least with my intl-105 keyboard.

It associates the "asterisk/mu" key (keycode 51, at the left of Enter,
above right Shift) to... "asterisk" and "mu", while the correct dvorak
layout associates it to "backslash" and "pipe". This makes it impossible
to type those characters.

This does not seem to be a xlibs/xkb problem since "setxkbmap dvorak"
installs the correct layout.

In addition "setxkbmap dvorak" effectively renders gkb unusable: the
configured keyboard layouts (through the "Open Keyboard Preferences"
menu item, "Layouts" tab) no longer appear in the "Groups" hierarchical
menu, and it is no longer possible to switch layouts using the applet.
