Package: epiphany-browser
Version: 1.2.8-1
Severity: normal

When I open a new tab (Ctrl+T), press Ctrl-L to focus the address line and paste (a)
search word(s), I cannot access "Search the web" (German: "Im Web suchen") using the
down-arrow key. This is only possible after typing an additional character. Looks
like a usability bug to me.

Kind regards

Andreas

thanks

Upstream report this is actually a GTK bug, and show this ChangeLog from
GTK CVS as evidence:

Thu Jun  3 21:17:29 2004  Matthias Clasen  <maclas@gmx.de>

        * gtk/gtkentry.c (gtk_entry_completion_timeout): Calculate the
        length of the entry contents in characters, not in bytes.

        * gtk/gtkentry.c (paste_received): Don't pop up the completion
        window on paste, noticed by Anders Carlsson.
