** This is the way that I have been trying that hasn't worked! I have
posted on gnomesupport.org in the gdesklets forum and I seem to be the
only person that is having any problem starting gdesklets with
gnome-session. I was only using the ~/.gnome2/session file and the
session-manual file did not include the gdesklets info for several weeks
prior to my post. I guess I misunderstood and saved the session with
gdesklets running after the request for the session-manual file. With
that file back to normal, I still can't get a proper start up of
gdesklets. I guess that is why I originally posted the 'bug' report
under gnome-session. Apparently there is something else going on with
my setup that I am not able to pin point?

** Thanks for the note, but I have already found the notification area
and posted my findings!

p.s. Do you have any idea what may be blocking gdesklets from starting?
Or maybe an unmet dependency or locked file? Gdesklets 0.30-1 compiled
fine with no noticeable errors, and I used aptitude to update
gnome-session with no errors? Maybe permissions are out of whack?
