Sorry, I am new. I had hoped the bug report would be useful because I
thought an aptitude upgrade performed on a given date would update everyone
worldwide to a known version of all installed packages.

dpkg says the Gnome 2 session manager is version 2.8.1-6

Sorry for the weak bug report; please let me know if there's any more
information that might be useful.

The system is a 500MHz Celeron, 96MB RAM.

Thanks,
