i would say that a 200 millisecond difference is about right.  the
audio happens before the video.

looks like totem is using xvideo -- the cpu usage is constant
regardless of window size and when dragging the video doesn't stay
with the window and i get blue fill-in.

xine-ui does indeed have the same 200 ms difference between the audio
and video.  hence this bug should probably be assigned to libxine1
instead of totem.  i'll leave that up to your discretion.
