Bug#421997: unwanted focus-follows-mouse behaviour

Today I upgraded from evince/testing (to experimental).  I find that
now, unless the pointer is positioned over the main canvas area, the
arrow, F11 and PgUp/PgDn keys no longer appear to have any effect.
Previously they would allow me to pan over the rendered page
regardless of the location of the pointer.

Since I do not normally use a pointing device at all, having to move
the pointer over the main canvas area is extremely frustrating.

This problem occurs when using the ratpoison window manager, where
Evince is fully maximized (ratpoison does not decorate windows with
title or drag bars).  Placing the pointer in the bottom-right corner
of the display (-0-0, effectively over evince's scroll bar widget)
causes the problem.  The problem DOES NOT occur in "presentation" mode
(F5).  The problem DOES occur in both normal and "fullscreen" (F11)
modes.  The problem DOES NOT occur when placing the pointer over the
menu bar (instead of the scroll bar).

Another (possibly important) datum is that the pointer is placed at
-0-0 by an X protocl mouse warping request, rather than by dragging it
across the screen with a pointing device.  It's possible that Evince
(or GTK) is becoming confused by the pointer warping in this fashion.
