Bug#485808: gnome-panel: Can Not add Trash Icon to panel

I have the same problem. I see Ubuntu as sent a fix upstream:

I tried doing the fix myself: 

Edit: /usr/lib/bonobo/servers/GNOME_Panel_TrashApplet.server

Add this inside the <oaf_server location="/usr/lib/bla/trashapplet">
element
(NOT the one with the location="OAFIID:bla")

    <oaf_attribute name="bonobo:environment" type="stringv">
        <item value="DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS"/>
    </oaf_attribute>

But for me it didn't work. Hope Debian can fix it.
