Great news, thanks for working on this!

Is there any possibility to add translations to the desktop files? It's
possible Ubuntu already have these, but I'm not sure how their language
packs works.

The popsquares demo in xscreensaver-data doesn't seem to pick up the
default colour from the GNOME colour theme, is this feature disabled?
