Hello,

Compiz is being installed by gnome-core, and forcing itself as default WM.  Metacity
performs better on my system than Compiz does.

It would be nice if Compiz was a suggested package instead of an alternate
dependency, so that metacity will always be installed by default, and if the
user wants Compiz, then they can get it themselves.

Alternatively please adjust the way GNOME determines the default WM, and at the same
time make it where both metacity and compiz are always installed.  For example, on
Foresight Linux, you have to check a box to make GNOME launch compiz instead of
metacity, and I think an option like that is also appropriate for Debian.
