I presume this is caused by a process being started and dying over and
over again. Is there a process for which the PID is constantly changing
in your process list?

If it’s gnome-settings-daemon, this is often caused by broken GStreamer
plugins. Are there any errors in the output of 'gst-inspect-0.10'?

If it’s another process, it really depends.

Cheers,
