g-ir-scanner is failing, not udev:
/usr/lib/gobject-introspection/giscanner/cachestore.py:
cachedir = os.path.join(homedir, '.cache')
I do not understand why since the code appears to check if the directory
exists, but I will leave figuring this out to somebody who does not
despise python.
