No, I am suggesting that PStricks does.
Which is the whole point of PStricks, after all.

Unless you are willing to add support for the PStricks extensions to the
DVI backend, I suggest that you accept the fact that it just won’t work.
Alternatively I can suggest that you migrate to pdflatex. Nobody sane
should use DVI nowadays.
