Bug#583574: gnome-panel regularly produces 100% CPU load

Dear all,

I can confirm this bug. After upgrading my wife's workstation, CPU load
jumbed to 100%. Gnome-panel is usually 5% of CPU load. But if we
minimize a shell window, CPU load jumps to 100% and we cannot use Gnome
any longuer. I have to Ctr + Alt + F1.

My other workstations are not impacted. This is very strange (I have 3
Debian SID hosts at work and one laptop).
