Bug#603856: gdm3 when stopped seems to also take all wireless networking with it

when i go to stop gdm3, normally when i'm going to install the nvidia driver
for my laptop i find out 'oh i forgot some package let's go install it.' but i
cannot download said package because i no longer have ANY wireless internet
access apparently when gdm3 is being killed it's also taking wireless
connectivity along with it. This seems to be an issue that has came up in sid
sometime down the road since i don't remember it from squeeze when i last
installed a driver(around two maybe three months ago)
