THis is what I did, I disabled 
  94-closure-fix-handling-of-ENUMs-and-integral-return-ty.patch
recompiled and installed, but g-s-d still has the tendency to
die on me.

Anything else?

Where should I do that in the gnome-session path? /etc/profile?
