I didn't create a custom keyboard shortcut. I guess either gnome or the
kernel is intercepting Fn+F7 and try to switch between monitors using
xrandr. Last time I try, the nouveau driver support it very well.

The script it self should be relatively simple. Since there is already a
hook on Fn+F7, I don't know how to replace the default behavior. For this
reason, I have submit a bug repport.

Notice, on most thinkpad, Fn+F7 is used to switch between monitors.
