yes, I received your reply. Sorry, that it took me so long to reply.

That is not so good. The great thing about the Debian BTS is that you
can add comments by using the simple email. Just add the address
<689381 at bugs.debian.org> to the CC list. (Just use reply to all in your
mailing program like Google Mail, but better Icedove or Evolution or
Mutt or ….)

Additionally it would be great if you could adhere to the netiquette
[1]. Especially, please just sent plain text messages and *no* HTML and
please use the interleaved style in your replies. Lastly, you do not
need to compress log files.

Reading your original report again and you wrote you are just seeing the
default background, is it alright after logging in (into GNOME?) or do
you have to reboot? I am asking because the `dmesg` log suggests you
were using that system for quite some time.

Since I could not find anything suspicious in your log files, could you
please attach the `xrandr -q --verbose` output next time. Just seeing
the background and being able to log in sounds like, the system thinks a
monitor is attached and renders the windows there.

Thanks,

Paul

(Google Mail is not that great either, as it does not allow to
deactivate automatic line wrapping.)

PS: I am leaving the private conversion at the end for archival
purposes. Please delete in your next reply.
