I needed do a clean build first, but finally I've put them online in my
private APT repository (sorry, amd64 only):

I am under the impression that a lot of bugs currently filed against
gstreamer0.10 have the same root cause that would get fixed by this
commit. But I have no data points confirming this 'impression'.

However, I've now reassigned the bug to gstreamer0.10. Feel free to
raise the severity if you can confirm that the attached patch fixes the
issue for you.

No.

The upstream repository (actually the link to the mentioned commit) is
at
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gstreamer/commit/?id=401f9b3de72de759c76da155a339c754b653bf9d

If you find it more convenient, you can also grab the attached patch,
drop it in the debian/patches/ directory, add it to the
debian/patches/series file and rebuild the package.

No, I am not directly involved in freedesktop. But you're welcome to
share them nevertheless. Just in case someone involved reads this here...

Regards,
Micha
