Regarding building boxes in debain

Hi developers,

I'm Gursimran. I'm beginner in debian and packaging. I was trying to build
boxes in debain using jhbuild using
jhbuild build gnome-boxes --nodeps

it reports the following errors in package gnome-themes-manager
configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.24.15 gdk-2.0 >=
2.24.15) were not met:

Requested 'gtk+-2.0 >= 2.24.15' but version of GTK+ is 2.24.10
Requested 'gdk-2.0 >= 2.24.15' but version of GDK is 2.24.10

In debian we currently have 2.24.10 package but latest is 2.24.17 in
http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/gtk+/2.24/

Why is this. How should I manage this error

Futher when I use jhbuild build gnome-boxes
it reports
No matching system package installed:
     python2-devel (python.pc, required=2.5)

There is no package pyhton2.5-dev. python-dev doesnt help as well.
Please help
