I know. That's why I said it was getting fixed.

Yes, and there's no urgency anyway. Those udebs aren't used yet.

Can't work, due to at least the following packages (found in
build/util/get-packages in src:debian-installer):
  libc0.1 libc0.3 libc6 libc6.1 libnewt0.52 libgcc1

See for example libnewt:
$ cat /var/lib/dpkg/info/libnewt*.shlibs
libnewt 0.52 libnewt0.52

Relying on an external edos run doesn't look too bad (at least from a
d-i rm perspective), since it actually checks installability, which is
a stronger property.
