Dear Maintainer,
I recently connected my Plantronics D100A USB dongle to my computer, to
have the associated headset working on the system.
When connected, the system "half-froze": the pointer was working in
Iceweasel, but not on the Desktop or on any icon on the Panel. Clicking
had no effect, unless (for example) I was switching tabs in the browser.
The overlay was not available, but Alt-Tab was. This is what dmesg
showed:

Unplugging the USB dongle immediately restored all functionalities in
the system.
A similar bug (probably the same issue) was reported for Fedora 18
(different headset/dongle, same outcome), which is available at
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=912859
but it's bound to be marked as WONTFIX as Fedora 18 is approaching EOL.
Still, the issue is present in Debian and I'm not so sure it's a X.Org
issue as much as a gnome-shell one (but feel free to prove me wrong, I
don't have any proof to support this).
Thanks in advance!
Claudio
