Bug#461106: gnome-panel starts consuming 75% or more of the CPU and becomes unresponsive

  Recently did dist-upgrade from wheezy to jessie.

  Upon the 3rd login, noticed that CPU time was high.  Task monitor reports
gnome-panel running at 100-108% CPU time consistently.  Normally wouldn't
notice on a quad-core system but when other CPU intensive programs are running,
responsiveness at the desktop diminishes.

Found out there is an existing bug report.  This report is just a confirmation
that it still exists.
