Bug#669350: [libnotify-bin] No more desktop notification in testing

While looking for an existing bug report for an issue I'm experiencing
with notification-daemon, I stumbled upon this one. After reading the
backlog, my understanding is that there's actually no bug at all
notification-daemon, probably some missing bits in a given
desktop environment.

It looks like this bug could simply be closed. Did I miss anything?
