I made several updates of the adwaita-icon-theme package with that
dependency cycle without problems.

Do you have an references (like actual bug reports) where apt did remove
a package because of such a dep cycle?

Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the
universe are pointed away from Earth?
