Bug#775030: gnome-shell: overview doesn't work in 30bit X mode

Dear Maintainer,

I switched the depth of my X display to 30 bit by way of a Depth entry in xorg.conf. Now the overview mode no longer works as intended: I may call it via the windows key/hot corner, but mouse functions are limited. I can not use the task bar on the left hand side, clicking on it's icons has no effect. I can not change windows by clicking on them.

Keyboard commands work, so I can search, execute search results, leave the overview. In a window view, I can work inside the window, and switch between windows using Alt-Tab, even immediately after leaving the overview. After I have used a window for some time, I can use the mouse to switch between windows, move them etc.

The limitations in the window view are somehow linked to calling the overview, so I am reporting this here, as a shell issue.
