This is by design.
What menu(-xdg) dumps there is basically unusable and makes a complete
mess of the GNOME menu. So we decided to not show menu-xdg generated
.desktop files.
IIRC, KDE has gone the same way.
Please file a bug against gltron to provide a proper .desktop file.
