Package: nautilus
Version: 3.22.3-1
Followup-For: Bug #602727
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
I mount several shares via SFTP. After a Suspend2Ram Nautilus starts to
hang for several minutes. That is reproducible.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
First I tried to kill the process via the graphical window that Gnome
presents if an application hangs. Then I tried "kill -9 <pid>". With
"ps" I found out that Nautilus is in TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE state (D).
* What was the outcome of this action?
No outcome. After a few minutes waiting, Nautilus finally quit itself.
If I don't have time to wait that long, I have to reboot the system.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
At least a shorter period of time for Nautilus to kill itself. Or a
TASK_KILLABLE approach for Nautilus: https://lwn.net/Articles/288056/
